**Summary**

Are you a skilled change delivery leader with a knowledge of Debt Management and interested in Changing and Transforming Debt Management Services for 5m customers.

This is an exciting opportunity to innovate, develop and deliver the future of operational service delivery in Debt Management. Counter Fraud, Compliance and Debt (CFCD) has the overarching aim of preventing fraud, error and debt from entering the benefit system, and where it has occurred, to detect and correct it as quickly as possible. As part of CFCD, Debt Management is responsible for the how benefit related debts owed to the department are recovered and managed.

Debt Management covers the collection of debt from customers of the DWP, HMRC, Local Authorities, Courts, Credit Unions, Insurance companies and the NHS. As a key part of so many different customer journeys, we work closely with colleagues across all these organisations to serve each customer and ensure that debts are managed and recovered effectively in a responsible and sustainable way.

**Job description**:
**What will you be doing?**

We are looking for someone with a flair for building strong working relationships across different departments and teams and an ability to adapt and prioritise in a fast-moving agile environment.

You will be someone who has the skills to deliver in a key leadership role within Debt Management, and who demonstrates inspirational and resourceful leadership to deliver debt change and transformation that enable us to deliver a modern customer centric service for the future.
- Lead the Business Design and Change Teams within Debt Operations that support the development of the New Debt System a key part of our future business model.
- Work with stakeholders to deliver business requirements into the design, development and delivery of the new system in an Agile environment.
- Lead implementation of the New Debt System across the Debt Management business.
- Lead the development of Debt Management’s Future Business Model that will deliver a customer centric approach incorporating multi-channel services, customer segmentation strategies and automation opportunities.
- Play a lead role as part of the Debt Leadership Team representing the business in key strategic forums and making empowered decisions to drive improvements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, working together to develop change solutions to support business delivery.
- Through your behaviour and ways of working make DWP an inclusive place where people can be their best.
