Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and culinary arts, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing meals efficiently while ensuring that our guests receive exceptional hospitality. This position requires both teamwork and leadership skills, as you will be supervising junior kitchen staff and collaborating with other team members to create delicious dishes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the restaurant's menu and standards.
  • Ensure all food preparation is conducted in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
  • Participate in training new team members on kitchen procedures and best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the culinary or hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate teamwork within the kitchen.
  • A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.
