Assistant Finance Business Partner

Northampton

12 month FTC

£36,000 per annum

ENB are supporting a Northampton based housing client who are recruiting for an Assistant Finance Business Partner opening on a 12 month FTC.

You will be responsible for providing financial and accounting support to non financial managers and budget holders across the business with financial information including KPI's, budget monitoring, forecasts and providing detailed analysis on service area.

The role will also work closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner on producing accurate financial services to the central services and wider teams.

This role would be perfect for somebody who is a junior management accountant or management accountant looking to progress in to a business partnering role.

Day to day responsibilities include (not limited to):

  • Providing detailed reporting specific to business area on all financial data
  • Preparation and completion of prepayment and accruals journal
  • Provide relevant supporting schedules for the producing annual statutory accounts.
  • Support the Senior Finance Business Partner in production of budgets to ensure adequate financial resources are available that fit with the wider Financial Business Plan.
  • Assist with procurement processes
  • Attend monthly finance team meetings and provide positive contributions to help promote cross-departmental teamwork and an attitude of continuous improvement within the organisation.
  • Maintain working relationships with budget managers and teams across the business

Experience required:

  • AAT Qualified or relevant finance/accounting degree
  • Intermediate Excel user
  • Prior experience in a management accountant opening or similar
  • Housing experience would be advantageous but not essential
