At West Northamptonshire Council, we're looking for an experienced and ambitious Procurement Business Partner to play a pivotal role in shaping how we deliver high quality, value for money services. This is an exciting opportunity to join our forward-thinking central procurement and finance team, where you'll provide expert strategic advice and deliver end to end procurement services that directly support our ambitious corporate plan and strategic objectives.

As a senior member of the team you will be:

  • An experienced team leader, leading and inspiring a team of four within our People and Resources business partner team, driving performance and supporting professional growth.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, influencing decisions and supporting major programmes across Council services.
  • Shape and deliver a complex and varied procurement pipeline, balancing strategic priorities with operational delivery, supporting the Council to deliver its strategic objectives.
  • Focus on ensuring robust governance, compliance, and risk management incorporating the latest changes in policy and legislation.
  • Drive process development, including opportunities to innovate and add value.
  • Champion our business partner model, raising the profile of procurement and ensuring best practice is consistently applied across the organisation.
