This is a unique opportunity for a creative and driven chef to join the team in our kitchen, revitalise our menu, and build a reputation for exceptional dining. The Fox Hall Inn is undergoing a period of exciting transformation, including a full refurbishment, and we are looking for a passionate individual to be a cornerstone of our success.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in this, championing the highest standards of food safety and kitchen management from day one. This is a chance to make a real impact, build a kitchen from a fresh slate, and be celebrated for turning The Fox Hall Inn into a must-visit dining destination.

The Role:

As a CDP, you will have overall responsibility for the kitchen's operation, including:

  • Developing and executing an innovative and seasonal menu that showcases the best of local Yorkshire produce.
  • Recruiting, training, and leading a motivated and skilled kitchen team.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene are consistently maintained.
  • Managing stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Collaborating with the general manager to create a seamless and memorable dining experience for our guests.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A proven track record as a CDP or Second Chef in a similar environment, with a genuine passion for fresh, high-quality food.
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to menu development.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • An unwavering commitment to food safety and hygiene.
  • Excellent financial acumen and experience in managing kitchen budgets.
  • A resilient and positive attitude, with a desire to be part of a team dedicated to rebuilding and excelling.
