Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial management activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in financial services and accounting software to contribute to organisational growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Completion of management accounts including commentary
  • Payroll review
  • Maintenance of finance leases
  • Payroll journals
  • Cashflow analysis
  • VAT return (UK and Ireland)
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Stock valuations (WIP, finished goods, raw materials, on site and in transit)
  • Assisting with costings and bill of materials (BOMs)
  • Gross margin analysis
  • Preparation of sales and commercial reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting in implementation of new stock system and stock control processes
  • Preparing financial reporting and analysis
  • Preparing KPIs to drive business performance
  • Support month end and year end processed including audit
  • Maintain up to date documentation of business process and accounting policies
  • Other ad hoc duties

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role within the financial services sector.

Strong proficiency in accounting software including Sage50 and Sage Payroll.

  • Demonstrated expertise in financial management, reporting, and analysis.
  • Experience with financial accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to mentor team members and foster a collaborative working environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about financial management, possess advanced knowledge of accounting systems, and are eager to support organisational success through strategic financial oversight.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
