Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Operations Assistant located in Sheffield. The Operations Assistant will support daily operations, ensure efficient operations management, handle customer service inquiries, and assist with analytical tasks. Additionally, the role includes maintaining clear communication across various departments to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily operations across manufacturing, logistics, and customer service.
- Process and manage online and wholesale orders via our e-commerce and internal systems.
- Coordinate with workshop staff to ensure timely production and dispatch of footwear.
- Liaise with suppliers for materials, tracking deliveries and maintaining inventory records.
- Handle customer enquiries via email and phone in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with packaging and quality control checks before dispatch.
- Maintain accurate data records, reports, and documentation (e.g. order tracking, stock levels).
- Support planning and delivery of custom or made-to-order footwear projects.
- Assist the Operations Manager with workflow improvements and operational planning.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and production teams to align on priorities.
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Previous experience in an administrative, operations, or fulfilment role.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
- Comfortable using spreadsheets, order management systems, and e-commerce platforms.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
- Interest in high-quality products, footwear, or fashion manufacturing.
Desirable
- Experience with Shopify, ERP tools, or inventory management systems.
- Background in retail, DTC brands, or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with materials or supply chain logistics.
