This vacancy will be posted on internal Career Website for 10 work days. Associates are eligible to apply for a transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Probationary period is four (4) months for full-time employees, and six (6) months for part-time employees. The Clinical Faculty maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing's Social Policy Statement. The Clinical Faculty actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard and performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center. The Clinical Faculty participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The Clinical Faculty demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served. Provides Montefiore associates and its community with high quality learning activities, guidance, and instruction to facilitate learning and ongoing growth and development. EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: a.Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license required. b.Master's degree in nursing or the equivalent. c. Three years of active nursing experience. One year of relevant teaching experience. d. Three years of Critical Care, Cardiac/Medical experience preferred. e. Exhibits independent judgement: Critical thinking skills necessary to implement the functions of the roles of the clinical faculty. Selects appropriate instructional strategies for targeted audiences. Develops educational programs appropriate to the needs of the associates of the Medical Center. Delivers educational programs in collaboration with associates across the organization. Defines innovative instructional approaches to education. Exercises independent thinking in conjunction with a team approach to all aspects of job functioning. Incorporates evidence- based research into educational program development. Evening shift hours are 2:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.. Note: one weekend shift/month Salary Range/Rate: $66.80
