About Cricketqube
Cricketqube is a Newcastle-based social enterprise delivering inclusive and accessible cricket sessions across the North East (care homes, community centres, schools and family hubs), with a strong focus on older adults (50+) and intergenerational activity.
We're recruiting a Project Manager/Operations Coordinator to keep weekly delivery running smoothly across multiple venues and coaches — owning the rota, operational comms, and the systems that enable scaling.
Contract & Working Pattern
- Fixed term: 12 months (strong potential to extend)
- 18 hours/week
- Office-led: in-person during an initial 90-day implementation period; reviewed at day 90
- Weekly site visits across the North East are expected.
Salary & Benefits
£13,104 per annum (18 hours/week at £14.00/hour), plus mileage at 45p per mile for approved travel and auto-enrolment pension (3% employer contribution). Potential to increase hours by the end of 2026 as we grow. This role is well-suited to an early-career candidate (including a recent graduate), but we welcome applicants with demonstrable equivalent experience.
Responsibilites
- Own the rota and change control (cover, swaps, cancellations) with clear written confirmations.
- Manage the central inbox, triage to agreed service standards, and route requests appropriately.
- Maintain day-to-day operational systems (SharePoint/Teams/Asana) as the source of truth.
- Track coach compliance (DBS/training/onboarding) and ensure risk assessments are current.
- Support SportFin's impact operations and reporting readiness.
- Coordinate operational finance workflows (invoice support, Dext capture, chasers/arrears tracking).
- Provide a weekly ops summary to the CEO (delivery, issues, risks, actions).
Essential
- Strong organisation and admin skills; able to manage multiple workstreams.
- Excellent communication (email/phone/stakeholders), calm under pressure.
- Close attention to detail and strong record-keeping.
- Confident using Microsoft 365 and learning systems (SharePoint/Teams/Asana).
- Sound judgement, confidentiality, and ability to work independently with structured reporting.
Desirable
- Community/education/health/care/events coordination experience.
- Degree or equivalent qualification, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- Safeguarding awareness and professional boundaries.
- Invoicing/payment process exposure and/or CRM/impact systems (e.g., SportFin).
- Driving licence and access to a car.
How to apply
- Please send your CV and a short cover note explaining why you're a strong fit for this role.
