Location: Wakefield | Permanent | 37 hours per week | £12.50 p/h (£24,050 p/a)

AES are looking for a reliable Warehouse Operative with a keen eye for detail to join our successful Wakefield team. This is a hands-on warehouse role focused on accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of products. The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you'll ensure smooth day-to-day operations by accurately picking, packing, and preparing products for customer orders while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, check, and process incoming deliveries (FLT training provided if needed)
  • Conduct goods-in checks, reporting damages or discrepancies
  • Replenish stock and ensure correct labelling, packaging, and storage
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages
  • Identify and isolate non-conforming products
  • Prepare dispatch paperwork and schedule collections
  • Use the newly implemented Zoho warehouse system to process orders, update stock records, and track inventory
  • Participate in informal and annual stock checks
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse

The Person

We value aptitude and attitude over experience. You'll need to be:

· Accurate and detail-oriented, able to read similar part numbers

· Physically fit to lift, bend, and move stock for extended periods

· Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

· Able to multitask and stay calm under pressure

· Confident, with good communication and literacy/numeracy skills

· Customer-focused and eager to develop within a growing business

Salary & Hours

  • Permanent position, starting at £12.50 p/h (£24,050 p/a)
  • Hours: Mon-Thurs 8:30am–5:00pm, Fri 8:30am–4:30pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
  • Free onsite parking
