This Head of FP&A role offers the autonomy, visibility, and influence to shape the financial future of a, private equity–backed Group at a pivotal stage in its growth journey.

The Opportunity

Operating as a true strategic partner to the Commercial Director and Executive Team, you'll lead the Group's financial planning and analysis agenda—driving the budgeting, forecasting, and performance insight that underpin informed decision-making.

You'll lead a capable FP&A team of around six professionals, developing the function's analytical strength while delivering clarity and confidence to both the business and its investors.

Following a period of significant M&A, the Group is entering a phase of consolidation and organic growth. T

he next 12–18 months will be focused on margin optimisation, operational efficiency, and cash generation—making this role central to shaping value creation and long-term strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve the FP&A function, delivering accurate, insightful analysis that informs strategy and performance management across the Group.
  • Own and refine the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and strong collaboration across multiple divisions and operational teams.
  • Partner with the executive team and private equity investors, providing clear financial narratives and robust analysis to support strategic decision-making and value creation.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, fostering commercial acumen, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Enhance systems, data, and reporting tools, ensuring the business has real-time insight and reliable performance visibility.
  • Act as a strategic business partner—influencing decisions on pricing, investment, and cost control to maximise profitability and cash flow.
  • Support ongoing integration and M&A readiness, ensuring financial planning and analysis align with future growth and exit strategies.

About You

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with a strong FP&A or commercial finance background.
  • Proven experience leading and developing FP&A or commercial finance teams in complex, multi-entity or PE-backed environments.
  • Commercially sharp, hands-on, and comfortable balancing strategic oversight with detailed financial analysis.
  • Skilled communicator with the confidence to challenge, influence, and engage senior leadership and investors.
  • Experienced in improving financial systems, data integrity, and forecasting tools (TM1, Anaplan, or equivalent).
  • Highly analytical, proactive, and comfortable working at pace in a results-driven environment.
