Content Writer,
you will be writing and optimising content across our three e-commerce websites, ensuring our customers get accurate information about the products they're looking for

Main responsibilities:

  • Write both short-form and long-form copy for online channels, maintaining our brand voice, and understanding how impactful copy can drive user engagement (both new and returning users) and conversions
  • Support the Content Manager by creating a range of on-page content for product-specific pages as well as other web-based copy
  • Ensure SEO best practice is maintained and that content is optimised for search
  • Assist with product copy, liaising with the Content Manager and the Product team
  • Assist with the creation and development of case studies and any other internal support materials for the Business Services team
  • Create blog articles that seamlessly align with ongoing promotions, sales initiatives, and strategic product promotions and campaigns
  • Report on key content deliverables, tracking user engagement and top-level performance metrics to inform ongoing content strategy using Google Analytics, Search Console, and other SEO auditing tools
  • Upload product page content, category page content, and blog articles as required

  • Exceptional grammar with a proven ability to proofread and edit your own work and the work of others
  • Ability to communicate within an active group of collaborating teams and with stakeholders
  • Track record in producing a wide variety of content
  • Capable of working to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the wider business team
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask

Desired attributes

  • Experience in writing copy that is optimised for search, including optimising for search intent, HTML tags, internal links, and on-page SEO is desirable. However, training will be provided for those with a willingness to learn
  • Experience using e-commerce website platforms and WordPress
  • Experience using keyword research tools
  • Adaptable to industry trends and changes
  • Ability to interpret reporting data using Google Analytics, Search Console, and any other SEO tools
