Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Interim Care Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our 20 bedded residential care home for older adults. This is a vital leadership role, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and staff support on a monthly rolling contract. This role is for 35 hours a week.

This offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team in providing exceptional support to residents, fostering a safe and nurturing environment. The Home Manager will utilise their expertise in assisted living, residential home management, and medication administration to optimise resident wellbeing and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the care home team to deliver person-centred care.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and all relevant legislation.
  • Oversee safeguarding, health & safety, and quality assurance processes.
  • Manage budgets, staffing levels, and resources effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide clear leadership and support to staff, fostering a positive working environment.
  • Promote a positive organisational culture centred on respect, dignity, and excellence in senior care.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Care Home Manager or Deputy Manager in elderly residential care.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A compassionate, resident-focused approach.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and provide stability during a period of change
