Quantity Surveyor – Office Based (Llanelli)

Location: Llanelli, Carmarthenshire

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Experience Required: Minimum 5 Years

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team, based at our office in Llanelli. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing company involved in a range of commercial, industrial, and heritage projects across South Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercial aspects of multiple projects from inception to completion.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Monitor project budgets and provide accurate cost reporting.
  • Conduct site valuations and work closely with project managers and site teams.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, payment applications, and final accounts.
  • Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
  • Provide financial advice and support to ensure project profitability.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Excellent financial management and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in relevant software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management software).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., BSc Quantity Surveying, MRICS) is desirable but not essential.
