Does this sound like you?

You're a Back End Engineer, ideally with 3+ years' experience, who's excited to forge a new way to save. You're all about producing and maintaining high quality systems to achieve business objectives, and making contributions to the development process, as well having an understanding of system design and architecture. You'll want to work in partnership with relevant teams across an organisation to identify how technology can solve business challenges and will be capable of answering "how and why" technology is designed and delivered.

What you'll do:

We are a Microsoft shop, so our core language is C# and our platform is entirely in the cloud on Azure where we use a variety of PaaS type services including Web Apps, Functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos, Azure Service Bus, AppInsights, APIM etc.

As a Back End Engineer, you will play an active role in an Agile software team, working collaboratively to work on new features and delivering a high quality, resilient product.

What you'll bring:

• Ideally over 3 years commercial development experience with C# / .Net / .Net Core
• A good understanding of SOLID principles, Event Driven Architecture (EDA) and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Experience of RESTful API design
• Experience of Azure cloud development, and a cloud-first approach
• SQL skills
• A good foundation in testing strategies or Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies
• Emotional intelligence. You actively listen and provide thoughtful solutions
• Proactivity and the ability to demonstrate initiative positively and collaboratively
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
