Job Description

Beech Cottage Dental Surgery is a fully Private Practice based in Corbridge. The practice is located on hill street, which is fully equipped with modern facilities & technology. Due to growth we are looking for a Lead Dental Nurse to join our team. The candidate should be bright and enthusiastic and understand the patient journey is of the utmost importance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Support: Provide high-quality dental nursing support to clinicians, assisting in various procedures such as implants, orthodontics, and sedation care.
  • Team Leadership: Act as a role model and leader for the nursing team, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while fostering a supportive work environment.
  • Clinical Governance: Collaborate with the Clinical Lead to implement and manage clinical governance arrangements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Staff Management: Oversee the daily management of dental nursing staff, including recruitment, training, and performance appraisals. Mentor junior staff and ensure effective induction processes.
  • Operational Duties: Manage the day-to-day operations of the dental practice, including scheduling, stock management, and maintaining clinical equipment.
  • Patient Care: Ensure a patient-centred approach by providing information and support to patients, addressing their needs and concerns during treatment.

The ideal candidate will have experiencing working in a busy practice, have a valid GDC registration, and fantastic IT and communication skills. Experience in implants, Invisalign, endodontics and advanced restorative dentistry may be advantageous.

Salary

Negotiable depending on experience
