Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various welding techniques. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components to create high-quality products that meet our specifications and standards.

Duties

  • Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
  • Perform welding tasks using both MIG and TIG methods.
  • Fabricate components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Assemble finished products, ensuring all parts fit together correctly and meet quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality control measures.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance overall production efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles.
  • Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to metal fabrication.
  • Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A valid welding certification is preferred but not essential.
