Operational Trainer

Crick, Northamptonshire | Full-time, Permanent | Day Shift (Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00)

The Opportunity

We're looking for a proactive and organised Operational Trainer to join our Crick site on the day shift. In this role, you'll support colleagues across our production areas by delivering high-quality training, onboarding new starters, maintaining accurate training records, and helping to build capability across the site.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Conducting capability assessments and confirming competency across production roles.
  • Delivering hands-on training to colleagues who require additional development.
  • Working closely with Area Managers, ASLs and Team Leaders to identify skills gaps and training needs.
  • Maintaining and updating skills matrices and training records to audit-ready standards.
  • Supporting the creation, review and delivery of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Providing refresher training and ensuring ongoing compliance with operational standards.
  • Assisting with new process introductions, trials and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluating training effectiveness and adapting plans based on colleague performance and feedback.
About You
  • Experience in training, coaching or buddying within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Good understanding of production processes with a passion for quality and development.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work at pace.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • A 'Train the Trainer' and/or Assessor qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
