Overview

We are seeking reliable and skilled Truck Drivers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods using a curtain trailer. Customer service and time keeping are paramount. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to all traffic regulations. Responsibilities

  • Operate a Hgv to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption as required by regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with office staff and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
  • Follow all local traffic laws and regulations while on the road.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as a class 1 driver driver, preferably with containers.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
