About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and detail-focused Finance and Compliance Manager to support our business with finance, HR, and compliance.

You'll play a key part in keeping our internal processes running smoothly — from reconciliations and payroll support to AML compliance, insurance renewals, and HR administration. This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple areas and being the go-to person who keeps things organised and on track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the firm's AML compliance processes and act as Deputy MLRO (training provided).
  • Carry out bank, credit card, petty cash, WorldPay, Stripe, wages, PAYE and pension reconciliations in Xero.
  • Prepare journals, VAT returns, and assist with BACS payment approvals.
  • Support payroll administration – including onboarding, leavers, pension uploads and holiday calculations.
  • Maintain accurate staff records.
  • Collate information for Professional Indemnity and general insurance renewals.
  • Complete ICAEW and other regulatory returns.
  • Produce ad hoc financial and management reports for Partners.
  • Manage utilities, fuel cards, and company expense systems.
  • Assist with policy reviews, process improvements and system updates.

About You

We're looking for someone organised, reliable and confident working with numbers, data, and people.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience using Xero or similar accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good Excel and reporting skills.
  • An interest or experience in Compliance, AML, or HR (training available).
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn new systems.

What We Offer

Flexible working options:

  • Core hours: 10am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Outside these, work the hours that suit you between 8am and 6pm.

Holidays and time off:

  • Up to 30 days' holiday, plus bank holidays, up to 5 flexi days, and an extra day after New Year.
  • Paid overtime or time off in lieu.

Schedule
