London, Greater London, United Kingdom Nevastar Finance Full time £60,000 - £85,000 per year

Nevastar Finance is an independent investment manager founded in 2003, providing tailored multi-asset investment solutions to institutions, corporations, and ultra-high-net-worth families. With offices in London, Geneva, Zurich, and Luxembourg, Nevastar combines the depth of global markets expertise with the agility of a boutique. Our core principles - capital preservation, consistent growth, and intellectual independence - guide every investment decision.

Nevastar Finance's Investment Team is seeking a Credit Research Analyst to assist in the management of its global fixed-income portfolios. This includes conducting detailed fundamental credit analysis across the credit spectrum, identifying and executing trade opportunities, and ensuring optimal portfolio performance across diverse markets. Importantly, the analyst will also be an integral part of the company's investment committee and contribute to asset allocation decisions by taking a top-down approach to generate trade ideas across asset classes, including but not limited to fixed income, equity, derivatives and commodities.

What you will do:

• Conduct detailed fundamental credit research across assigned sectors, building valuation models and assessing issuer risk.

• Generate trade ideas and relative-value recommendations within IG and HY universes.

• Support portfolio construction by monitoring exposures, spreads, and position sizing within risk parameters.

• Contribute top-down market insights and cross-asset trade ideas to the Investment Committee.

• Prepare investment presentations, performance reviews, and marketing materials for internal and client use.

• Track key market and macro developments, communicating actionable insights to the Investment Team.

• The role reports to senior members of the Investment Team and works closely with Portfolio Managers across asset classes.

Why this role matters:

• Direct involvement in portfolio management and investment decisions from day one.

• A seat at the Investment Committee, providing genuine influence on cross-asset strategy.

• Exposure to global markets and multiple asset classes within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

• 1 - 3 years' experience in a credit-focused analytical or investment role.

• Strong grasp of financial statements, credit metrics, and valuation modelling.

• Demonstrated ability to form and defend fundamental credit opinions.

• Familiarity with macroeconomic and cross-asset analysis is advantageous.

• CFA progress preferred.

• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to express investment ideas succinctly.

• Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Other information:

• Fully in-office: Based in St James's, London (on-site role, no hybrid arrangement).

• Benefits: 23 days' annual leave, company pension scheme, and discretionary year-end bonus.

This is a permanent position, subject to a 3-month probationary period.
