Summary

Do you have experience of providing high quality Salesforce administration and external user support expertise, on a complex global sales operations or partner platform?

This consulting opportunity is to support our client (a leading consumer electronics company), in maintaining, improving and supporting their Partner Portal environment in Salesforce, a key interface between their communities.

The project needs a consultant who:

  • has proven Salesforce administration experience across Sales Cloud and Experience Cloud
  • has a track record of providing partner user support, resolving Tier 2 and user queries, and proactively troubleshooting issues within complex environments
  • demonstrates excellent stakeholder management expertise, particularly working with business and technical stakeholders, and external user communities.

Key services:

The key services that you'll be asked to provide are:

  • Administer the Salesforce Partner Portal including user setup, permissions, profiles, roles, and access management.
  • Maintain portal configurations, page layouts, and custom components to support evolving business needs.
  • Provide Tier 2 support to internal and external users, resolving access issues, troubleshooting errors, and escalating as needed.
  • Create and maintain user guides, training materials, and FAQs to enable effective self-service.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process efficiency, and usability enhancements in the portal experience.
  • Collaborate with developers and architects on technical changes and enhancements.
  • Ensure secure and compliant access in accordance with client's data governance and security standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of user access and system integrity.
  • Liaise with business teams, regional operations, and the global Salesforce team to capture requirements, prioritise changes, and align on roadmap.
  • Participate in testing and validation of releases affecting the Partner Portal.

Mandatory Requirements:

Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Salesforce Administrator certification with proven Salesforce administration experience, ideally with managing Partner or Experience Cloud portals.
  • Understanding of Salesforce user management, roles, profiles, permission sets, and data visibility.
  • Experience in complex enterprise and stakeholder environments with multiple integrations.
  • Proven trouble shooting and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently, navigate ambiguity and take initiative whilst paying close attention to details.
  • An enthusiastic, curious and proactive attitude, hands-on management with a user-centred mindset.

Optional Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a global technology company or working with external partner ecosystems.
  • Experience with data governance and master data management principles.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Slack for collaboration and documentation.
