Dringhouses Primary School is seeking to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work with our children in our busy Early Years unit. You will support all the children in the classroom and deliver guided interventions under the direction of the class teacher to support access to learning.

We're looking for someone to work with our fantastic children here at Dringhouses Primary. We need someone who is enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated and with a great sense of humour.

The successful applicant will be someone who understands the importance of building secure, caring and trusting relationships - encouraging and modelling resilience, growth and repair. As well as someone who can keep up with the demands of busy and adventurous learners.

Responsibilities will include working collaboratively with the teaching team to support the delivery of the Dringhouses Discovery Curriculum in a more specialised small groups, working one to one with pupils as well as in the main classroom.

Qualifications And Experience Required

  • Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in a classroom environment, especially supporting children within mainstream primary within the last 2 years
  • Knowledge of the national primary curriculum
  • Knowledge/Experience of Early Years
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to plan and organise and to use own initiative
  • The ability to assist with assessment and monitoring of pupil progress
  • Committed to maintaining high standards
  • Flexible and a team player

This is a part time, permanent, term time only contract. Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30am until 16:00pm. The contract will start as soon after Christmas as possible.
