We're a young, growing consultancy working with local authorities and Mayoral Combined Authorities on projects that shape places and public services. If you want variety, responsibility early, and the freedom to take initiative while learning from experienced associates, this is for you.

What you will do

  • Support delivery of multi-strand consulting projects for councils and MCAs.
  • Research, analyse evidence and turn it into clear insights, briefings and slide decks.
  • Design and help run workshops, consultations and stakeholder sessions.
  • Track actions, risks and progress so projects land on time.
  • Diary and logistics support for senior consultants to keep programmes moving.
  • Contribute to proposals and thought leadership on new policy agendas.

What you will bring

  • At least 3 years postgraduate policy experience.
  • Genuine interest in UK local government and combined authorities, with working knowledge of how they operate.
  • Sharp writing, structured thinking and confident communication.
  • Strong organisation and follow-through in fast-moving projects.
  • Comfortable travelling across the UK for client work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and collaborative tools.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in public policy, politics, planning, economics or related fields.

Location

Hybrid, with client time across the UK. Regular meetings in the North West and London. Travel required.
