Talent & Resourcing Specialist

The Talent & Resourcing Advisor plays a key role in supporting the attraction, selection, onboarding, and progression of great people into and within the organisation. Reporting to the Talent and Resourcing Manager, this role supports hiring managers across the business by promoting our Employer Value Proposition (EVP), delivering a values-aligned recruitment process, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience for all candidates and new starters.
With a dual focus on external recruitment and internal resourcing, the Talent & Resourcing Advisor works collaboratively with the wider People team to ensure the organisation attracts diverse, capable, and values-aligned individuals while also supporting internal talent mobility and career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
External Recruitment & Employer Brand
- Supports hiring managers through the full recruitment lifecycle, from advert creation and job pack design to interview coordination and offer letters.
- Promotes the organisation's EVP through compelling job adverts, careers site content, social media campaigns, and candidate communications.
- Coordinates and conducts first-stage interviews—either independently or jointly with hiring managers—ensuring alignment with organisational values and role requirements.
- Provides coaching and guidance to managers on inclusive and effective recruitment practices, including candidate assessment and feedback delivery.
- Maintains accurate recruitment records and ensures processes are compliant, timely, and aligned with organisational policies.
Candidate Experience & Onboarding
- Champions a high-quality candidate experience, ensuring all applicants receive clear communication, timely updates, and a respectful, welcoming process.
- Acts as a key point of contact for new starters during their onboarding journey, from offer acceptance through to the end of their probation period.
- Works with the People and L&D teams to deliver a structured and engaging induction process that supports early engagement and success.
- Tracks and supports probation processes, ensuring timely reviews and follow-up with line managers.
Internal Talent & Resourcing
- Coordinates internal recruitment processes, ensuring transparency of opportunities, and supporting career mobility across the organisation.
- Supports redeployment and succession processes where applicable, including internal job matching and skills mapping.
- Assists in the development of early careers and development pathways, such as apprenticeships, graduate schemes, or internal progression routes.
People Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Contributes to people-focused projects such as diversity & inclusion in hiring, data reporting on recruitment activity, and improvements to onboarding and probation experience.
- Supports initiatives that embed the organisation's values into every stage of the employee journey, from attraction to induction.
- Gathers feedback from candidates and hiring managers to identify improvement opportunities and evolve the recruitment and resourcing process.
