Role Overview
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and proactive Night Waking Staff to join our residential children's home. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and comfort of the young people throughout the night while maintaining a calm, supportive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Remaining awake and alert throughout the entire shift to ensure safety
- Monitoring, supervising, and supporting children and young people during the night
- Responding appropriately to any incidents, concerns, or emergencies
- Completing night-time checks, logs, and safeguarding reports
- Recording all actions accurately using ClearCare
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to maintain a therapeutic and supportive environment
- Following safeguarding, confidentiality, and company policies at all times
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in working within a residential children's home (essential)
- Confident and competent in using ClearCare for recording and reporting (essential)
- Have QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
- Caring, patient, and emotionally resilient
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills
- Reliable, professional, and committed to the wellbeing of young people
