Role Purpose
As a Logistics Assistant Manager, you'll be at the heart of delivering world-class live events, conferences, and exhibitions at the SEC. You'll oversee the movement, storage, and distribution of equipment and materials, ensuring every event runs smoothly from set-up to dismantle. Working closely with event planners, exhibitors, and on-site teams, you'll tackle logistical challenges with precision, problem-solving skills, and adaptability, ensuring an exceptional experience for every client and attendee.

Key Responsibilities
- Event Logistics: Plan, coordinate, and execute logistics for live events, exhibitions, and conferences.
- Material Management: Oversee procurement, transport, and inventory of equipment, signage, and promotional items.
- Transport & Distribution: Manage timely, secure delivery of materials, liaising with external providers to ensure efficiency.
- Set-Up & Dismantling: Supervise event set-up and breakdown, ensuring deadlines and safety standards are met.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop logistics staff to maintain high operational standards.
- Problem-Solving: Anticipate and resolve logistical challenges, adapting to last-minute changes with calm and efficiency.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all activities adhere to health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Budget & Performance: Support budget management, identify cost efficiencies, and monitor KPIs to optimise operations.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in logistics or event coordination, ideally within the events industry.
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations, including transport, storage, and distribution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams.
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and quick decision-making under pressure.
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering excellent client experiences.
- Technical proficiency with logistics software and familiarity with event equipment.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
