We are looking for an experienced individual in IT business analysis to take up the role of Senior IT Business Analyst to lead the requirements management process and be involved in the complete product delivery life cycle from conceptualisation to production. The role requires working closely with Product, Engineering and Operations teams to capture, review and build requirements for new product launches and improvements to existing features on the FX Matching Venue.

The role presents an opportunity work in a fast-paced high performance environment to deliver value to our customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with product, architecture, engineering, operations teams to produce and sign-off requirements.
  • Use a multitude of ways to elaborate requirements including diagrams, flowcharts, tables, text to improve the understanding of requirements.
  • Critically analyse requirements and identify ways in which changes can be implemented in the most efficiently to deliver changes quickly to production.
  • Engage with product, architecture and engineering partners to assess and identify the return on investment of requirements to ensure changes are accurately prioritized
  • Rationalise design and business architecture of solutions provided.
  • Conduct impact analysis working with architecture teams to understand the complexity of change.
  • Engage with internal and external vendor development teams to communicate granular functional requirements are accurately translated and reflected in technical implementation.
  • Consider the entire LSEG FX platform ecosystem to identify dependencies and downstream impacts when analysing requirements.
  • Prioritise backlogs for delivery PoDs to deliver incremental change of change requests, conduct show & tells to capture feedback.
  • Continuously improve requirements gathering and management practices.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance teams to review testing scope.
  • Participate and contribute during the different testing phases of the software including System Integrated Testing, UAT, Customer Conformance and Internal Technical Releases.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the architecture and operations of LSEG FX trading platform and actively contribute to the design phase of new requirements.
  • Build and improve knowledge repositories.
  • Responsible for operational 2nd line support.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years work experience as a technology business analyst.
  • Technology degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical/Communications Engineering
  • Experience in working with high performance, low latency platforms.
  • Knowledge in FIX, Binary protocols and REST APIs.
  • Worked in an agile software delivery environment.
  • Worked on and supported critical system infrastructure in financial markets.
  • Experience in driving product roadmaps successfully with a focus on supporting business strategy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to handle relationships effectively.
  • Good knowledge and experience in FX Spot/Swaps trading domain either in technology or business is desirable
