Associates are an established Expert Witness Company with over 30 years experience and have an excellent reputation within the litigation field for providing high quality expert reports in the fields of Nursing and Occupational Therapy. We also undertake Liability, Breach of Duty reports and Immediate Needs Assessments for those with life-changing injuries.
Being part of the handl Group, we are invested in training and development of Nurses who wish to develop their knowledge further and have:
- Registration with NMC
- 8 years minimum post graduate experience
- Capacity to work alongside their clinical role with flexible working hours to write Care reports on behalf of TG Associates.
As an Expert Witness, you will have a unique opportunity to use your specialist experience to assist courts and legal professionals in serious personal injury and clinical negligence cases. Depending on areas of expertise you may be required to:
- Prepare Care reports, using your professional recommendations and expertise.
- Following through the case from the initiation to completion including: timely review of new evidence and documentation, responding to queries from legal professionals, attending case conferences with barristers, participating in experts' meetings, and writing statements as well as providing oral evidence in court if required.
We are looking for Mental Health Nurses in England with extensive experience within mental heath in a secure setting.

Training & Support
At TG Associates, we provide a robust training and mentorship program, delivered over three separate days to support new expert witnesses throughout their initial and ongoing learning process.
All members of our mentoring and quality assurance team have extensive experience in the medical legal field. We pride ourselves on providing one to one peer support. There is also administrative and in-house technical support offering assistance as and when required.

Successful candidates should have the ability to:
- Undertake a holistic assessment; pick up on non-verbal cues; empathise with the individual's situation and relate to different people from different backgrounds
- Travel to assess individuals in their own homes
- Have a comprehensive grasp of the English language and high standards of written English, with attention to detail required
- Be flexible and adaptable
- Make decisions and seek appropriate support where and when necessary
- Have experience of care/rehabilitation within the community desirable
- Have self-confidence and assertiveness
- Project a professional image when attending a Case Conference or attending Court
- Manage their own time and to be able to work under time constraints as and when required.
