Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations to upsell menu items and enhance guest experience.
• Ensure tables are clean, set up correctly, and cleared promptly after use.
• Handle guest queries courteously and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
• Assist with basic food safety procedures and adhere to hygiene standards at all times.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods through effective time management.

Skills

• Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques.
• Familiarity with food preparation processes and kitchen operations is beneficial.
• Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour.
• Basic maths skills for handling bills and processing payments accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Upselling techniques to promote specials and increase sales opportunities.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and guests seamlessly. Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £12.21-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 12 per week
