Company offices are in Hawkley, Liss, Hampshire.
Working will be remote (with one day per week in the office)

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our development team and contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of our enterprise-level applications.
Role Summary:
As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our web-based applications. You'll work closely with a team of skilled developers, testers, and product specialists to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet customer and business needs.
This role is primarily remote, with one day per week in the office for team collaboration, sprint planning, and knowledge sharing. Day-to-day communication and collaboration are conducted via Microsoft Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using C#, ASP.NET, and MVC frameworks.
- Implement and optimize data access layers using Entity Framework and SQL based RDBMS.
- Build interactive, responsive interfaces using JavaScript, jQuery, and Infragistics controls.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and performance tuning to ensure software quality and efficiency.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across the software stack.
- Use Perforce Surround SCM and Perforce Helix for version control, source management and defect tracking.
- Collaborate closely with team members via Microsoft Teams to share knowledge and align on development goals.
- Follow established development standards and best practices within Visual Studio.
- Contribute to technical documentation and assist in continuous process improvement.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong commercial experience in C# and ASP.NET development.
- Solid understanding of MVC architecture and Entity Framework.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database design.
- Front-end development skills using JavaScript, jQuery, and related web technologies.
- Understanding of object-oriented design and software architecture patterns.
- Proficient in Visual Studio development environment.
- Experience using Perforce Surround SCM or Helix for version control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, particularly in a remote environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in insurance or risk management software development.
- Understanding of agile development methodologies.
- Experience with Infragistics UI components.
- Familiarity with Perforce Surround SCM and Perforce Helix.
- Knowledge of REST APIs or web services (SOAP).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Education & Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
