Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the M&E design team through all project phases, from concept to completion
  • Develop and implement design strategies that align with project objectives and sustainability goals
  • Conduct design reviews, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with standards, and quality assurance
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand requirements and provide innovative design solutions
  • Monitor project progress and provide mentorship to team members, facilitating professional growth and development
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful delivery
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to improve design processes and practices
  • Prepare and present design proposals and project updates to clients and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the M&E design sector
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and design practices
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
  • Proficiency in design software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, and relevant calculation tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of current building regulations and industry standards
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Full UK driver's license
