Job Overview

Reception duties: check in guests, taking payments

As a Front of House Team Member, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, providing exceptional service to our guests. Your role will involve ensuring a pleasant dining experience by efficiently managing guest interactions, taking orders. You will play a vital part in maintaining the high standards of hospitality that our patrons expect.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all details are captured.
  • Provide information about menu items and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
  • Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining tables and service stations.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control.
  • Engage in upselling techniques to promote special menu items or promotions.
  • Perform basic math calculations for order processing and billing.

Skills

  • Strong hospitality skills with a passion for guest services.
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred, with knowledge of serving techniques.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
  • Kitchen or culinary experience is an advantage but not essential.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
  • Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
