Your Role

As a Sales Engineer, your challenge is to identify customer values in the earliest possible sales phase and to translate this into a winning technical solution/concept with the right balance between technology and a competitive price. Within your role as Sales Engineer, you support, challenge, and team up with the sales manager in the pre-bid, bid, and closing phases to jointly secure projects. In your role, you are able to prepare and present the technical content to the customer.

Your department

The department you will be working in focuses on the development of the Airports & Parcel segment in the APAC region. It consists of the disciplines Sales Layout Engineering, Sales Engineering, and Sales Consultancy. Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Defines sales tactics together with the sales manager and acts accordingly.
  • Solves commercial/tactical issues and challenges directly with the Sales Manager.
  • Responsible for organizing all sales engineering deliverables throughout all sales phases (starting from pre-bid) until the handover to the execution team.
  • Involves technical experts to develop the best possible conceptual designs.
  • Takes and initiates actions in full accordance with the philosophy behind the sales strategy.
  • Ability to work on various projects in various sales phases simultaneously.
  • Leading an internal sales support team (procurement, planning, concept design, controls).
  • Strong in listening and analyzing customer requirements.
  • Responsible that all procedural steps are taken on time in accordance with sales process checklists.

Education and Experience:

  • Is proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Electro-mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or similar discipline)
  • Excellent in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
