The Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic and hands on Store Manager to lead our day-to-day operations while also supporting our marketing, customer communications and business development plans.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who's not only passionate about the outdoors, but also eager to help grow a small, value driven business. You'll get involved in everything from creating social media content to helping customers find the right gear and everything in between.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily running of the store, including sales, stock, and customer service
  • Support and motivate staff to ensure an excellent customer experience
  • Drive sales and contribute to achieving business targets
  • Organise and maintain shop displays, layouts, and merchandising
  • Respond to customer enquiries and resolve any issues professionally
  • Keep stock levels in check and liaise with suppliers as needed
  • Assist with admin tasks such as rota planning and ordering
  • Create engaging content for social media and email marketing campaigns
  • Help process and package online orders
  • Represent the business at trade shows and industry events
  • Assist the sister business West End Adventure, with customer enquiries and activity bookings
  • Contribute to the overall growth and success of the business

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role
  • Friendly, approachable and confident in customer-facing situations
  • A strong interest in the outdoors and outdoor gear
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable using social media and email platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Canva, Instagram)
  • Self motivated with a can do attitude
  • Able to work collaboratively in a small, close knit team

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,493.00 per year
