Hours: Flexible – minimum 6 hours per week
Locations: Birmingham, Walsall, Sandwell
Do you have the passion, patience, and confidence to support young people with autism, ADHD, and other additional needs?
Wellbeing&Co are looking for a Specialist Wellbeing Coach who can deliver calm, structured, and engaging wellbeing sessions for young people living in residential care.
This role suits someone who is grounded, reliable, and able to connect with young people who benefit from routine, predictability, and personalised support.
About the Role
As a Specialist Wellbeing Coach, you'll deliver regular activity-based sessions designed to help young people develop emotional awareness, structure, confidence, and self-regulation skills.
Many of the young people you'll work with have autism, ADHD, social communication differences, sensory needs, or learning differences. Your role is to adapt sessions to meet each young person where they are, creating a safe, low-pressure space where they can explore wellbeing in a way that works for them.
About Us: Wellbeing&Co
At Wellbeing&Co, we specialise in practical, holistic approaches to wellbeing. We work closely with young people in residential settings, helping them build resilience, emotional understanding, and positive coping tools.
Our practice is values-led and rooted in Respect, Patience, Commitment, Self-Control, Honesty, and Loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structured, predictable wellbeing sessions tailored to young people with autism, ADHD, and additional needs.
- Deliver engaging activities such as sensory-friendly mindfulness, grounding techniques, movement sessions, creative tasks, and communication-friendly discussions.
- Create a calm, reassuring, and neuro-inclusive environment where young people feel respected, understood, and safe.
- Adapt your approach for different sensory needs, communication styles, and comfort levels.
- Work with residential staff to align with individual care plans, behaviour strategies, and communication preferences.
- Promote emotional regulation, routine-building, and strengths-focused development.
What we're looking for
· Experience supporting autistic young people or those with additional needs (education, social care, coaching, therapy, youth work, support work, SEN environments, etc.).
- Someone patient, grounded, and able to maintain consistency and clear boundaries.
- A confident communicator who can use friendly, down-to-earth, and accessible language.
- Ability to adapt sessions to different abilities, sensory needs, and learning styles.
- Reliable, organised, and comfortable working independently in different residential homes.
- Full driving licence & DBS (required).
- Awareness of holistic tools (breathwork, sensory regulation, movement, grounding) is a bonus.
Why Join Wellbeing&Co?
- Meaningful Impact: Help young people and those with additional needs build vital life and emotional skills.
- Flexible & Creative Work: Deliver sessions in a way that suits your strengths and the needs of each young person.
