As Head of the Chemistry Department, you will lead a team of talented and dedicated teachers, ensuring that the curriculum is delivered to the highest standards across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5. Your expertise in Chemistry will guide the department in fostering a passion for the subject, while also ensuring academic success and effective departmental management.

• Strategic Leadership: As the Head of Department, you will lead curriculum planning, departmental initiatives, and ensure the delivery of high-quality Chemistry lessons that challenge and engage students.

• Mentorship and Development: You will provide mentorship and support to your team, helping them to grow professionally and encouraging the sharing of best practices in Chemistry education.

• Departmental Growth: Lead the Chemistry Department in its continuous improvement by implementing new strategies, overseeing assessment processes, and ensuring consistent student success.

Key Responsibilities as Head of Chemistry Department

What We Are Looking For in a Head of Chemistry Department

• A Highly Experienced Chemistry Teacher: You should have a degree in Chemistry (or a related field), QTS, and substantial experience teaching Chemistry across all key stages, including Key Stage 5.

• Proven Leadership: Experience in leading and managing a team of teachers, with a track record of driving improvement and fostering a positive departmental culture.
