Olé Tapas Bar (Wolverton, Milton Keynes) and Fuego Tapas Bar (Bedford) are looking for a passionate and reliable Sous Chef to join our award-winning Spanish restaurant team. Both venues are family-run and well-known for their authentic tapas, paellas, and vibrant Mediterranean atmosphere.

You will work closely with the Head Chef and General Manager to deliver consistently high-quality dishes and support both kitchen teams across our two sites.

About the Role

  • Support and manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.
  • Oversee preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes to our exacting standards.
  • Maintain stock control, ordering, and kitchen documentation.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are upheld.
  • Lead and motivate junior chefs and kitchen assistants.
  • Flexible to work between both Bedford and Milton Keynes sites as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong CDP ready to step up (minimum 4–5 years professional kitchen experience).
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport – travel required between sites.
  • Passion for Spanish cuisine and fresh, authentic food.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure in a busy kitchen.
  • A team player who communicates well with both kitchen and front-of-house staff.
