Business Analyst / FP&A Analyst

Location: York (Hybrid)

Where data meets purpose – and your work truly makes an impact.

Some analysts spend their days producing reports no one reads.

Here, your work will shape decisions, drive growth, and prepare a PE-backed business for its next major milestone.

This company sits in one of the UK's most loved sectors - but behind that feel-good mission lies serious ambition. Backed by a leading private equity firm, the business has bold plans to more than double in size over the next three years. They've just secured major partnerships, are expanding product lines, and are investing heavily in systems, analytics, and capability.

Now they need someone like you to bring it all together.

The Role: Build Insight. Drive Change. Make an Impact.

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, this is a standalone analyst role with big reach across the business. You'll work directly with finance, marketing, and operations teams to turn complex data into meaningful commercial insight.

From identifying trends in customer subscriptions to analysing renewal rates and channel performance, you'll be the person everyone turns to for answers that move the dial.

You'll:

  • Build and improve analytical models that uncover key drivers of growth

  • Own and develop subscription KPIs such as churn, attachment, and renewal rates

  • Work with SQL and BigQuery to bring together multiple data sources

  • Design intuitive dashboards and reports to tell the story behind the numbers

  • Support new product launches, pricing strategy and commercial initiatives

  • Partner with the leadership team to bring clarity to complex data challenges

What's in it for you
  • A voice that's heard: You'll have direct visibility to a Group FD who values collaboration and trusts people to deliver.

  • Freedom to create: It's a blank canvas – shape how FP&A and data analytics are done here.

  • See the results: The insights you provide will directly influence strategy, investment and performance.

  • Be part of a PE-backed growth story: Learn how to operate in a private equity environment as the company scales toward an exit event.

  • A career catalyst: The skills and commercial exposure you'll gain here will make you even more marketable for future senior FP&A or Finance Business Partner roles.

Who you are
  • A finance or data analyst with solid commercial understanding

  • Strong technical skills – advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI or BigQuery

  • Able to work independently while engaging multiple stakeholders

  • Analytical, curious, and commercially minded – you don't just crunch numbers, you find meaning in them

  • A problem-solver who thrives in high-growth, fast-moving environments

If you've been waiting for a role that combines data, finance, and commercial impact – this is it.

The opportunity to build something meaningful, make your mark, and grow your career in a company that's scaling fast.

Apply now or reach out to learn more.
