We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Education, Health and Care Manager to join the growing team at Ruskin Mill College, based in Nailsworth.

The purpose of the role is to assist the Education Health and Care Manager (EHCM) in the support and care of young people with complex needs, namely to ensure that students benefit from Ruskin Mill Trust's innovative Practical Skills Therapeutic Education (PSTE) curriculum and that they receive the training and support they need to fulfil the outcomes identified in their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).

To be successful in this role you will:

Be able to demonstrate a passion and commitment to improving the lives of young people with complex needs and learning differences.

Have an understanding and willingness to gain knowledge of a wide range of student diagnoses and challenges including autism, attachment difficulties, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.

Demonstrate an understanding of legal and regulatory requirements and frameworks, e.g. the SEND Code of Practice, and be aware of ongoing developments and research in the fields of Education, Health and Care.

Have high degree of personal and emotional resilience.

Possess outstanding communication and organisational skills.

It would be advantageous for applicants to have knowledge and/or experience of working with young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
