As a Lead Enterprise Architect in our retail banking sector, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our transformation agenda. You will collaborate with end-to-end agile platform teams, balancing customer, business, and technical outcomes. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping our technical strategy, driving implementation, and fostering a culture of innovation and growth.

Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Strategy Leadership: Lead the technical strategy for your area, translating business opportunities into solutions and roadmaps. Drive the adoption of cloud capabilities, API-centric platforms, and new data assets to enable business opportunities.
  2. Agile Platform Collaboration: Work with agile platform teams to transform our bank's capabilities, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals.
  3. Team Leadership and Mentoring: Directly lead, mentor, and develop a team of architects, cultivating strong teams and fostering a culture aligned with our values and transformation agenda.
  4. Cultural Transformation: Be a role model for our values and cultural transformation, influencing thinking and gaining commitment across all levels of the organization.
  5. Change Management: Lead complex change initiatives, navigate conflicting priorities, and manage interdependencies, risks, and issues to successful conclusions.
  6. Stakeholder Management: Operate at all levels with gravitas and impact, using strong storytelling skills to communicate recommendations aligned with priorities.
  7. Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Drive customer and tech-focused innovation, staying abreast of emerging technologies and their potential business applications aligned with long-term strategy.
  8. Collaboration and Trust Building: Work collaboratively, cultivate trust, and influence thinking to gain commitment and drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience (X years) as a Lead Enterprise Architect in the retail banking or financial services industry.
  • Expertise in agile methodologies, cloud computing, API-centric platforms, and data analytics.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in cultural transformation, change management, and innovation leadership.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and their potential business applications.
  • Familiarity with Everyday Banking or Colleague Channels and their role in sustainable transformation.
