Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrator to support the smooth running of our youth centre. This role is central to maintaining effective operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting both staff and young people.
Duties
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
HR & Staff Administration
- Maintain up-to-date staff records, including contracts, holiday, and sickness tracking
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes
- Ensure compliance with safer recruitment practices and data protection policies
Daily Communications
- Monitor and respond to emails, phone calls, and post
- Act as a first point of contact for general enquiries
- Liaise with staff, volunteers, and external partners
Building & Operational Checks
- Conduct daily building checks to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality
- Report and follow up on maintenance issues
- Support compliance with health and safety protocols
Impact Reporting
- Collect and compile data for monthly and quarterly impact reports
- Support evaluation processes and feedback collection
- Assist with reporting for funders and stakeholders
Room Bookings & Lettings
- Manage bookings for rooms and facilities, including long-term lettings
- Maintain accurate schedules and contracts
- Liaise with hirers and ensure smooth coordination
Financial Tracking
- Monitor and compare utility costs and other annual expenses
- Support budget planning with price checks and supplier reviews
- Assist with invoice processing and financial record-keeping
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.42 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
