Job overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our New Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful implementation of major and complex projects that are key elements of the Trust's vision, values, and strategy. This role involves engaging a wide range of stakeholders and ensuring effective coordination with other interdependent work-streams, projects, and programmes.

You will be based at County Hall, Norwich with travel to other Trust sites where necessary.

Main duties of the job

As Senior Project Manager within our New EPR Programme, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a wide range of complex projects to ensure short and long-term benefits for the organisation.
  • Building and maintaining effective internal and external relationships.
  • Providing and communicating complex, sensitive, and contentious information to key stakeholders.
  • Analysing and interpreting complex information and data.
  • Planning and managing projects, monitor key milestones and outcomes.
  • Leading and supporting others on service development, identifying change and implementing processes and policies.
  • Undertaking budget holder responsibilities for projects.
  • Line management responsibility as appropriate.

  • Degree level or with equivalent significant proven experience implementing complex projects/change programmes.
  • Project Management qualification or specialised knowledge of a wide range of project management tools and techniques.
Experience
Essential criteria
  • Project Management or equivalent significant experience implementing complex projects/change programmes.
  • Proven track record of project management, service redesign and project evaluation and review.
Desirable criteria
  • NHS/public sector experience and knowledge.
Skills
Essential criteria
  • Effective negotiating skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • The ability to use existing information systems effectively and interpret information appropriately
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
Knowledge
Essential criteria
  • A working knowledge of strategic planning
Desirable criteria

  • Ability to travel within Norfolk and Suffolk
  • Able to work in person at County Hall, Norwich, on a regular basis
