Job overviewAre you passionate about driving digital transformation in healthcare? We are seeking a proactive and organised Project Manager (Band 6) to join our dynamic EPR Programme team at NSFT. In this pivotal role, you will help deliver key projects that support the implementation and optimisation of our Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, working closely with clinical, corporate, and operational colleagues across the Trust.
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing defined EPR-related projects, applying recognised project management tools and techniques to achieve successful outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on patient care and service delivery, while developing your skills in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

- Plan, coordinate, and deliver defined projects within the EPR Programme, supporting the Trust's digital transformation.
- Work collaboratively with clinical, corporate, and operational colleagues to achieve project objectives.
- Develop and maintain project plans, monitor progress against milestones, and manage resources efficiently.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and project boards.
- Apply recognised project management tools and techniques to support successful project delivery.
- Organise and facilitate project meetings, ensuring actions are tracked and completed.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with Trust policies and information governance requirements.
- Support service improvement and change management activities within the scope of assigned projects.
- Supervise and support project support staff, promoting a positive and inclusive working environment.
- Contribute to project evaluation and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.

Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in managing projects or change programmes.
- Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 Foundation, APM PFQ) or demonstrable knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile or equivalent advanced project management certification.

- Experience in applying project management tools and techniques to deliver project outcomes.
- NHS/public sector experience and knowledge.
- Experience of EPR implementation

- Strong planning and organisational skills for managing project tasks and timelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Power BI, and Teams

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation
- Ability to interpret and present data to support decision-making
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Essential criteria
- Understanding of project planning principles, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with project management tools and techniques (e.g. risk registers, Gantt charts, stakeholder mapping).
- Knowledge of project governance and reporting processes within defined parameters
- Awareness of change management principles and how they apply to project delivery.
- Awareness of PRINCE2 or similar project management frameworks.
