The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping our academic services offering—including but not limited to developing and designing high-quality academic content, driving and delivering excellent academic outputs and securing top university destinations, leading Oxbridge-collaboration projects and initiatives, and mentoring a team of part-time tutors. This is a hybrid role that requires flexible remote working with on-site office throughout the year and a commitment to teaching in person at Dipont Independent schools in China for a minimum of one month annually. You will work with high-achieving secondary and pre-university students, delivering exceptional one-to-one and small group tutoring for A-Level, IB, Personal Statement advice, and Oxbridge admission tests, mock interviews, as well as preparing students for national and international competitions. You will also contribute to product development, research projects, and the facilitation of collaboration with leading academic tutor teams.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, tailored tutoring sessions in STEM subjects (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, or related areas) to individual students or small groups.
  • Provide targeted support for Oxbridge entrance exams (e.g. MAT, PAT, ESAT, STEP) and interview preparation.
  • Tutor students preparing for national and international academic competitions and subject Olympiads.
  • Participate in summer camps and in-person workshops, particularly during peak academic seasons.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to both students and internal academic teams.
  • Collaborate with curriculum developers to enhance existing teaching materials and resources.
  • Adapt teaching approaches for online and in-person delivery.
  • Maintain professional, responsive communication with students, parents, and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • A
    Bachelor or higher's degree (Master/PhD)
    from the
    University of Oxford or University of Cambridge
    in a STEM discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Natural Sciences, Computer Science).
  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching students, ideally at GCSE, A-level, IB, or equivalent levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for education.
  • Willingness to
    travel to China annually
    for in-person teaching commitments.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends to meet student scheduling needs.
  • Confidence in delivering both online and face-to-face lessons using various educational tools.
