Swansea Carers Centre is a specialist voluntary organisation providing support to unpaid carers and former carers across the City & County of Swansea.

Swansea Carers Centre was the first Carers Centre in Wales to achieve the Carers Trust Excellence for Carers Award
Swansea Carers Centre are seeking to hire passionate and dedicated individuals for a number of positions within the organisation.

For 20 years, the Swansea Carers Centre has supported a range of carers and grown to be one of the largest carers services in Wales. The Hwb aims to make it easier for carers to access all the services available to them in one place and attract new carers who might be unaware of their rights and entitlements, such as those from ethnic minorities and male carers. The Hwb is a single point of contact for carers in Swansea, offering initial assessments for unpaid carers, and jointly developing a support plan to meet their identified need.

Carers Hwb - Outreach Worker

Hours: 28 hours a week
Location: Swansea Carers Centre
Salary: £23,933 FTE, £19, actual)
The outreach worker will be part of the Carers Hwb team and will work to engage with carers who are unable or don't want to access the city centre base.

They will focus on trying to engage carers who are underrepresented such as those from ethnic minorities, male carers and those served by poor public transport links. The Outreach worker post is funded as a part of a National Lottery Community Fund project.

Carers Hwb - Engagement Worker

Hours: 14 hrs per week. Some out of hours work may be required, for which time off in lieu will be given.
Location: Swansea Carers Centre
Salary: £23,933 FTE per annum £9, actual)
This is a new post which has been created to encourage participation by carers in identifying gaps in service provision and to work collaboratively with Swansea Carers Centre management in meeting identified needs. The post will also take a lead in seeking carer satisfaction with the support they have received and ensure results are fed into planning and development.
