London, Greater London, United Kingdom Capture6 Full time £60,000 - £100,000 per year

Job Description

At Capture6, we are developing rapidly scalable water and carbon solutions and creating environmental benefits to accelerate the transition to a decarbonized global economy. Our projects create dual benefits to water and climate sectors. Our cutting-edge technologies utilize saltwater waste streams to recover fresh water while transforming the way we capture carbon dioxide directly from the air, offering dual benefits for both the climate and water sectors.

We're looking for an exceptional Finance Manager to join our dynamic team and support our commercialization efforts. You will develop and own our internal and external budgets and financial models in pursuit of our global deployment strategy. You will also be a core team member for our capital raising efforts across our corporate and project-level fundraising activities. If you're passionate about using flexible capital to address climate change, this is your chance to lead and shape the future of climate solutions with us.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented candidate with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience to join our dynamic commercial team. This role is critical to supporting our corporate finance, project finance, and budgeting/reporting efforts as we grow and expand our operations. The Finance Manager will play a key role in driving financial strategies, managing project financing, and ensuring effective budget control and reporting processes.

What You Will Do

Corporate Finance:

  • Support capital raising activities at Capture6, including equity, debt, and other financial instruments.
  • Assist with financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting to guide strategic decisions.

Budgeting and Reporting

  • Develop tools for and support company and project-level budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against the budget, identifying variances and providing insights.
  • Support the preparation of board reports and other management presentations.

Project Finance

  • Convert project-level budgets to project finance models and scenarios to evaluate risks, returns, and feasibility for international project opportunities.
  • Collaborate and support cross-functional teams to structure, negotiate, and close project-level capital raising (equity, debt, concessionary capital, etc.).
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including lenders, investors, and advisors.

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate or project finance, ideally in investment banking, infrastructure, or consulting.
  • Strong financial modelling, budgeting, and accounting skills, especially for early-stage infrastructure projects across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proficient in project finance structures, including risk analysis and scenario planning.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of managing shifting priorities.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for addressing climate change.
  • Authorized to work in the United Kingdom.

Exceptional Candidates Will Bring

  • Knowledge of climate policy, carbon removal, and carbon markets
  • Experience and understanding of chemical production and water processing industries.
  • Transaction structuring experience involving multiple external stakeholders.
