We're looking to expand our Civils force, with additions to our technician team. We are looking for someone who is passionate, robust and always solution-based.

Overview

As project demands rise at Calcinotto, we need to expand our workforce accordingly. We're seeking candidates with 2-3 years of experience in structural engineering and proficiency in AutoCAD. This role offers a chance to work on varied and intricate building projects, aiding us in providing innovative solutions to our clients. Your responsibilities will vary based on your experience and seniority, encompassing roles such as:

Leading the design and analysis of major civil engineering projects, providing expert consultation and technical leadership, and ensuring design and operational excellence in all civil engineering activities. Leading the Technician team and oversees all software toolsets.

Develop detailed designs, drawings, and layouts for civil engineering projects. Support civil engineers with calculations, documentation, and project oversight. Participate in field surveys and supervise junior technicians for accurate technical drawings.

General Responsibilities & Daily Activities

• Provide technical support to civil engineers in the design and analysis of drainage & infrastructure.
• Utilise Site3D and AutoCAD to create detailed structural drawings and 3D models.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, ensuring all drawings and models meet industry standards and client specifications.
• Work closely with engineers and other team members to develop and refine full drainage models, addressing complex design and planning issues.
• Ensure all outputs comply with quality assurance procedures and industry standards.

Your skills and experience

Requirements

• An HND, HNC, or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is preferred but not essential.
• 2-3 years of experience in a structural engineering environment.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD & Site3D.
• Ability to produce detailed drawings and 3D models.
• Familiarity with other structural design software is advantageous.

Key Skills

• Experience working collaboratively with engineers and design teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
