We design, plan, construct, connect and install utility-scale solar and energy storage projects for clients and investors in the UK and internationally.

Are you a dedicated Business Support/ Administrator with managerial experience?

To manage the Business Support team ensuring delivery in accordance with the Company's vision and values.

To create and manage the maintenance division of the business.

To be responsible for the management and supervision of employees including performance management, team building, employee development.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

Manage the day-to-day operation of the Business Support team

Develop staff ensuring that staff levels reflect the demands of the service and the communication flows throughout the team and all staff are using their time efficiently.

Provide administrative support to the director and the management team.

Promote operational services to existing and new customers; liaise with managers and other operational staff to ensure effective and seamless service delivery.

Establish and maintain appropriate monitoring systems and provide accurate management information when requested

Create from scratch and manage processes and procedures for a new maintenance division of the business, organising, planning and instructing daily work to the in house electrician. Liaising with sub-contractors as and when required.

Liaising with suppliers as and when required.

Formally report back performance on a weekly basis to the director/HR and demonstrate accountability for the productivity of the team and the new business aspect.

Supporting recruitment with HR and new staff onboarding activities, HR knowledge and experience will be a bonus

Providing specialist support to fill resource gaps within the team and procedures

Essential Skills

2:1 or above Degree in Business development or Management

  • Min 2 years of work experience in a management or leadership role
  • Excellent executive functioning abilities to manage the business and teams
  • Experience/knowledge in the solar energy systems; or relevant construction products and services is highly desirable
  • Strong Leadership and People Management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • HR Knowledge will be a bonus
  • Interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Ability to focus on the key issues.
  • Solutions driven.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to build effective partnership working relationships.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain exceptional service at all times.
  • Tact, discretion and the ability to work quickly under pressure.

  • Excellent Time keeping and attendance of working hours.

  • Eligible to work in the UK and a valid full UK driving licence.

You must be a proactive and forward-thinking individual who has a genuine passion for operational effectiveness and having the business's best interest at all times.

You will lead with a supportive and encouraging manner.

You will have a calm and confident attitude to work alongside senior management team and the team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £26,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
