We're looking for a capable
Finance Manager
to take charge of the day-to-day financial operations of Reason Digital.

This role has a clear pathway for development with the potential to grow into a Financial Controller position as the organisation scales. Ideally, you'll have already built your experience within a digital, creative or marketing environment and be confident working with project based accounting, cash flow management and financial reporting.

This could be a full time or part time role and we're open to discussing how we can make that work together.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Run the finance operation including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and accounts payable/receivable using Xero
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts including accruals, deferrals, prepayments and WIP/project revenue
  • Lead cash flow forecasting, budgeting and financial planning
  • Work closely with project managers to make sure revenue recognition aligns with milestones and deliverables
  • Oversee VAT returns, coordinate payroll through an external provider and stay on top of HMRC compliance
  • Manage invoicing schedules and make sure billing is prompt and accurate
  • Improve and streamline financial systems, controls and reporting processes
  • Provide regular financial updates to senior stakeholders highlighting risks, trends and opportunities
  • Track contractor and freelancer budgets and payments
  • Help prepare annual accounts and work with external accountants

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years experience in a Finance Manager role, ideally within a digital, creative or marketing agency
  • Strong knowledge of accrual-based accounting, project revenue recognition and agency billing models
  • Advanced Xero experience (essential)
  • AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA (essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail and an analytical approach
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Proven ability to explain financial insights to non-finance colleagues
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Familiarity with Agency tools like Harvest is a bonus
